I’ve searched on the web but there is no image or symbol with that meaning. Also i’ve looked for chinese symbols with that meaning and the only symbols i found where form the words LOYALTY, LOVE or FAITH as examples…but not from ART…Im looking for that symbol because it will be my first tattoo and the only thing i would tattoo myself is something that means literally ART..please help me!

Tattoo it in calligraphy. or in calligraphy on a banner. or in calligraphy in the center of a tribal design like a heart or tribal markings. If you simply wanna express ur love for art with ur body, y not do it so everyone can not only appreciate the artwork of the design but have an understanding of it. Lots of ppl have japanese and chinese symbols on their bodies and being american most of us don’t have a clue what it means unless we ask. Personally I think if you can make it easily understood while making it pretty, you and others will appreciate it.

  1. You are limiting your search by not understanding what ‘art’ is or about.
Take a small step to the right side of your brain, and you will find ‘creativity’ (it can not speak, but it can create):
So if you must have a ‘symbol’, here is a Google image page for ‘creativity symbol’:

The word "art" is just some lines with an accepted meaning, you can interpret it anyway that you want, that is the point of ‘art’, isn’t it?
Make up your own symbol! Create something! You decide what ‘ART’ is!
To me it is just a limiting word, that people stand around and drink their ‘Beaujolais’, while striking an ‘arty’ pose, that makes them look like they are intelligent and deep in thought, … even if the ‘art work’ is ‘crap’. And not seeing true creativity and beauty in the flower that they passed growing in the cracks of the sidewalk.
But, I digress and rant,… sorry
