I am looking to get a pharse tattoo. I know when getting a tattoo it should mean something to the person getting it. I am just a lil stuck for idea’s. So just looking for some sugestions to inspire me. I want something alone the lines of finding yourself and positive thinking…. Any ideas?

I am trying to come up with a meaningful tattoo. I have noticed a few people have tattoos representing phases in their life and what they have been through and tributes to others, I was wanting to find out what some other meaningful ideas are out there.

i have 3 tattoos and they have a meaning but not a deep one, see i have "la bella vita" in my back and i got it cuz my dream since im little its going to italy also im in love with the leanges, then i hace a "star" in my wrist and it remend me when i was in middle school and i was like a punk girl and last but not least i have a "triqueta" in my hip and it means many things but for me meand luck!

I have tried googling it a billion times, and I always end up with the same response….Sailors had them tattooed for every 5000 miles they sailed and what not. But I think it means something having to do with freedom and purity. Im not talking about a swallow either, which is commonly confused.

I have an idea for a tattoo. A sparrow falling out of the sky, wings all flustery and feathers coming out with a fearful look on its face.

Sparrows symbolize true love and the fact that it is falling symbolizes no control. I need a small symbol to represent "HOPE" for the bird to be grabbing with its feet. Any ideas??

Best advice when getting a tattoo to represent a child?

I am getting two tattoos to represent each of my children. I want something completely unique (no names, birthdays, hand or foot prints, etc). What is the best advice that you can give to help me pick a unique and meaningful tattoo for my boys? I will probably design it myself and have someone draw it, but I just can’t think of the best way to represent them without having a tattoo that everybody else has. Thanks!

I just got a tattoo yesterday (Sunday) and my family and I are planning on going to an amusement park (Cedar Point) this Saturday. I was wondering if I could go on the water rides, since I will have only had my tattoo for a week by then? Would it be dangerous? If I brought alcohol wipes to wipe the tattooed area off after each ride, would it be more safe then? The tattoo is very small on my wrist, please let me know! Thanks!

Nope, you should have thought about this before getting tattooed.
No swimming or sun exposure for your tattoo for a month (and always use sun screen on your tattoo if it will be exposed after that month is up). A tattoo is basically the same as having an open wound, and it takes roughly a month for it to heal.
And alcohol wipes have to be the worst idea I have ever heard, keep those far away from your tattoo.

I have seen it on a bunch of guys, and it is on their lower arm. It is a simple two band tattoo. kind of like this || wrapped around their arm. Does this have any specific meaning?
