I need to get a coverup tattoo; what kind of tattoo will best hide my original?

I have a palm sized colored (violent and blues) theater masks on my right shoulder. Should I be looking for a tattoo with big black ink blocks, or something with a lot of color and detail?

I am getting two tattoos to represent each of my children. I want something completely unique (no names, birthdays, hand or foot prints, etc). What is the best advice that you can give to help me pick a unique and meaningful tattoo for my boys? I will probably design it myself and have someone draw it, but I just can’t think of the best way to represent them without having a tattoo that everybody else has. Thanks!

Recent tattoo and amusement park water rides?

I just got a tattoo yesterday (Sunday) and my family and I are planning on going to an amusement park (Cedar Point) this Saturday. I was wondering if I could go on the water rides, since I will have only had my tattoo for a week by then? Would it be dangerous? If I brought alcohol wipes to wipe the tattooed area off after each ride, would it be more safe then? The tattoo is very small on my wrist, please let me know! Thanks!

Nope, you should have thought about this before getting tattooed.
No swimming or sun exposure for your tattoo for a month (and always use sun screen on your tattoo if it will be exposed after that month is up). A tattoo is basically the same as having an open wound, and it takes roughly a month for it to heal.
And alcohol wipes have to be the worst idea I have ever heard, keep those far away from your tattoo.

I am thinking about getting some sort of small celtic cross tattoo on the inside of my wrist. This would be my first tattoo. I’ve heard that this is one of the more sensitive area’s to get a tattoo. Is this true? I’m also in college studying to be some sort of early childhood teacher, so do you think that I would be looked down upon more so than if I didn’t have a visable tattoo? Thanks for any serious answers!

Well the inside of your wrist has a lot of nerves/tendions therefor it is a very sensitive area. You may be looked down upon because of the tattoo depending on the community you are teaching in.. But you can always hide it with a thick watch or a big braclet depending on the size. I would not personally give you a mini celtic cross because that is a very detailed tattoo and with the size of it it may start to "blurr" together or look like a "blob" quickly. A cross yes but not to much detail in a small tatt! hth good luck:)

I’ve already got one tattoo on my back, and I take prescriptions medication at night time will that have any affects on getting another tattoo at all? I take Epilim, Solian and Yasmin (pill) and anti-depressant in the morning would that have an affect on getting a tattoo?

Will wearing soccer cleats affect a tattoo on my foot 3 1/2 days after I get it?

I’m planning on getting a tattoo on my foot this Friday morning. I know tattoos scab up and that if the scab gets pulled off it affects the inking of the tattoo. I have soccer practice the following Tuesday in the late evening. By wearing my cleats, will the rubbing ruin the tattoo? Even if it’s wrapped?

I am planning on getting a tattoo, but the area of my body on which I plan to get it is heavily scarred in places due to a mis-spent youth. I was just wondering: a) is it possible to tattoo over scar tissue? & b) does the scarring adversely affect the look of the tattoo in any way?

it is possible to tattoo over scars but depending on how the scar is (raised, smooth, darkly colored, jagged etc) it may or may not come out looking like the rest of the skin. also i wouldn’t just go to anybody to have it done. i would only trust a extremely talented artist to tatoo over a scar because as i understand it the texture of the skin is different and somewhat more difficult to tattoo over. the best thing you can do is to consult an artist. good luck!

Ok it would help alot if you’ve seen the Bad Girls Club on Oxygen. There is a girl named Tiffany and she has a tattoo on the front of her right shoulder off to the side of the chest. I wanted to get a tattoo there as well so its not directly on the chest and I can cover it up easily.

I have a small color tattoo on my leg that I want to get covered with something bigger. There is kinda dark blues in it. Any suggestions? ANything I should and shouldn’t get? I am planning on getting a tattoo on my calf but I am wondering how it will affect the hair on my leg. Will the hair stop growing or will it grow over the tattoo? Will the hair become less coarse? The only tattoo I have is on my shoulder and I have very little hair on my back but a lot more on my legs so that is why I’m curious. Thanks!

before you get the tattoo the artist will definately shave your calf, and later the hair will grow back over the tattoo, it will probably blend in pretty well with the rest of your leg hair so no worries, but it may be slightly coarser and darker……basicly like how when girls shave their legs the hair grows back thicker and darker

they shouldnt charge you anything just to draw up your tattoo, it’s all a part of the process unless you already have something with you
