Tattoo ….?
I’m 16 and I’m getting a tattoo for my 17th birthday which is this february…. I was wanting to know how bad it hurt and how to prepare for it, if theres even a way too.
Hi, i got a tattoo when i was 20, the pain depends on where you are getting the tattoo done, very think skin such on the top part of you foot etc, can be painful but i got mine done on my ankle, and it wasn’t painful at all. just like a tiny bite. preparing for it? shave the place where u getting the tattoo done!!! after the tattoo was complete, i had to be careful when taking a shower, but after a while, the redness disappeared, and it just looks lovely now!

It’s not so bad on a fleshy shot, avoid the top of the foot though. That kills!

It depends what your pain threshold is. For some it hurts like hell, for others not so.
Having said that, i know a few people who said it huirt like hell, but they still went back for more.
The best way to prepare for it is to not htink about it at all.

It really depends where you get it how much it’ll hurt. Fleshy areas don’t hurt as much as bony areas. When I got a tattoo on my lower back, it hurt when he was doing the bits over my spine but the rest didn’t hurt at all.
Don’t drink alcohol or take aspirin for at least 24 hours before you go. They thin your blood, so if you get tattooed with these in your system it’ll be a lot messier.
Good luck!

You can’t really prepare for it…except for maybe shaving the area (*CAREFULLY*) beforehand..not so early that the hair grows back, but just before you go..that saves the tat artist a step.
Don’t drink before you go.(*yeah I know you are young, but that means nothing..lol)…That causes the blood to thin and you will bleed.Just be sure ya know what you want..don’t get a tattoo JUST because you want a tattoo…and it’s the thing to do…Make it a special tattoo. You will regret going in and getting some piece of flash off the wall.
The pain all depends on your pain threshold and the location of the tattoo, the amount of fat in the area.DON’t get your ribs done first.lol….or the foot……The actual healing process AFTER is worse than the tat.It will be a little swollen and sore ,then it will itch. DON’T scratch it!!!! Keep it moist and clean.. ESPECIALLY CLEAN!…It will also peel.Don’t tug on the pieces of skin when it peels. Go buy some Aquaphor .It rawks .=D
trust me, even if it DOES hurt, you will want more later. They are addictive.
Good Luck!!~

The pain isn’t too bad but I always take a couple of tylenol before I go and get one.

I just got a tattoo this past Sunday, so the pain is fresh in my mind. It hurts, there’s no getting around that. But after the first 5 minutes or so, it becomes kind of annoying rather than just painful. I would recommend bringing something to read or a friend to talk to, because it helps if you have something other than the tattoo/tattooing to concentrate on.
The pain really kicks in after it’s all said and done and you’re walking out of the tattoo shop. The first 2 hours was paaaainful…I got mine right about my ankle, and the first couple of hours it hurt to walk, so I was limping everywhere. The first day after that, it would sting every now and then, but otherwise be okay. By the second day it was feeling all normal, and I could even sit cross-legged (the tattoo is on the outside of my ankle).
