id like to get a tattoo on my foot….does anyone know how sore it is to get done?
You will probably need to use a crutch to keep pressure off your foot for about a fortnight, as the pain can get out of hand. Try to keep an ice pack on it as well to cool down your foot…if you get it done.

Tattoos are most painful where the bones are close to the skin, so getting one done on your foot will be pretty damn painful.

I had one done on my big toe, right foot. I gotta tell you, I’d rather go through 36 hours of hard labor than ever let anyone near my foot with a tattoo gun again.

I have two tattoos, one on my ankle and one on my foot. The one on my foot hurt a lot more than the one on my ankle. The more sensitive the skin is, the more painful it is going to be. The skin on your foot is really sensitive, so it is naturally going to be more painful. It wasn’t unbearable pain, though, at least not for me. Some people handle pain differently. If you’re getting a tattoo with a lot of details and shading, it’s going to take longer and hurt more. The one I have is just a word in black ink, so it didn’t take that long, which I was thankful for. It didn’t really hurt that bad afterward. It was a little sore, but it was definitely bearable.
Good luck!

It gets very sore!! Not comfortable to get done at all. Make sure you do not move haha If you get it done, be sure you have a few days to wear flip flops. No other shoe will do.

My feet are tattooed and it was my most uncomfortable out of all my tattoos. My feet were pretty swollen for a few days. I wore flip flops for the following week, and kept my feet elevated as much as possible in the evening. So yes it was more uncomfortable, the healing time was a little longer for me but of course it was worth it and I would do it again.

I love tattoos and don’t want to discourage you but I will be honest. I would rate it a 8 on a 0-10 scale. I have a very bony foot and I felt every vibration all the way up to my teeth. It also gets VERY sore and don’t plan on wearing anything but flip-flops for a week.
I have three tattoos: small fairy on my right hip bone, quote above my left butt cheek, and "fairy dust" design on the top of my left foot (lots of tiny stars and tiny dots). The fairy dust is my newest (a year ago) and LAST tattoo. It broke me! lol!

It hurts…bad. But depending on where on your foot your getting it done, you may or may not be too sore when it’s finished. As your getting it done, it does kinda get numb after a while but you can feel grinding on your bone where it’s bony & it feels like a really really painful tickle on the not so bony parts. For me, it took everything I had to keep still & I have a pretty high pain threshold.
Unless it’s on like the bottom of your foot you won’t need crutches or anything. For me, after it was done it felt like any other tattoo.

My foot/ankle tattoo is my favorite mainly because of how painful it was, lol. It needs a touch up but I’m in tears just thinking about it.

Surprisingly mine didn’t hurt that bad. I got one right below my second and third toes. It hurt a decent amount at first but I didn’t really feel it that much when it was done, other than a few twinges of pain here and there. It does feel awkward to wear shoes for the next couple days though.

I got mine done in April and it did hurt but not that bad, it was my first tattoo so i dont really have anything to compare it too. Some spots hurt more then others. It was sore the next day and felt kind of funny when i put full pressure on my foot but it want bad. Also my foot was swollen so i tryed to keep it elevated as much as possible, that lasted for a few days, but it was SO worth it.

one of the most painfull places. A lot of ppl cry while getting foot tattoos. Plus they almost always fade and have to be redone about once a year.
If you have a high paintolerance and enough bank for the upkeep then go for it. If not then id think twice

I just had my foot tattoo done 5 days ago! It starts above my ankle and covers a large portion of the top of my foot. LOVE IT! I guess as far as pain goes, I honestly didn’t think it was all that bad. It was more aggravating not being able to control my foot from jumping all over the place and kicking the tattoo artist in the jaw! Healing time and swelling seem to be more of a hassle than with my other tattoos however. I personally can’t wear a flip flop because it hits the top of my foot wrong and puts pressure in the wrong places! I have about 4 different pairs of slip on flats that I have been wearing and none of them cover my tattoo. This seems super comfy and have no problems with them!I would do it again for sure. Just hoping it heals up beautifully!!
