What color do Traditional Japanese dragon tattoos come in?

I got a pic up i think on my 360 as you can see the dragon and some pices are still blank. Im debating on colors right now. Im not one over what color I like I just want an Authentic looking Tattoo.
I googled alot of simple black scale with red belly Tattoos. I think Im leaning for that. If you find any Variations please link me. Make sure they look Raw and traditional too I don’t want to see any gimp dragons. LOL!

If all goes well today ill be getting my junk complete and you can say you took part in this!

Thanks Y!A Tattoos!

Holly – You’re an idiot.

Agreed – good artist/shop they won’t let you down, talk to them about it.

hahahah holly you freak, what century do you live in??!?!

I’d say greyscale with bits of red in, or if you want lots of colour, traditional japanese dragons are often reds, yellows, oranges and turquoise/blue/green, with greyscale background.

If your going to a well established shop and an artist with experience, then they won’t let you down, they have probably done thousands, me personally I like black and gray the whole way through but that’s me, you can get a traditional Japanese dragon and go any color you want there is no wrong way to go its yours. Good Luck and go BIG.
