What color should I do for my butterfly tattoo?

I just got an awesome Butterfly tattoo on my hip/love handle. It’s about six inches wide and so far looks amazing, We’ve got the outline and the black filled in. I haven’t put any colors on it yet and am not sure which colors would look best.

I think a light pink to Lavender would be pretty but have also seen some bright blue and teal ones that look cool?

I need suggestions..:)

Black is the most bold for tattoos, anything else appears faded.
But of course it is up to you, pink sounds really nice! You could have a mixture of different colours too =)

Baby blue/teal and light pink. Those colours mix very well.

You could use lavender and light blue together, or get the favourite colours of yourself and family members. I have a butterfly tattoo also, and it is light purple and dark blue. You could go brighter and get something like orange or yellow.

If you still can’t decide, you could always have your tattoo artist recommend what they think will look best.

I was going to say purple and lime green…but that was already said. Oh well, I guess I will just say it again.

Your wise in staying away from yellow. Light pink will fade, Lavender is good. I like the bright blue and teal idea the most.

Do a mix…my new butterfly tattoo has blue, pink, red, yellow, purple and green in it and it looks really pretty. Whatever butterfly this tattoo was patterned after must be really pretty to look at. I’ll post a photo of it so you can see what it looks like and maybe it will give you an idea or two.
