What is the meaning of tattoo positioning?
Hello,
I want to get a tattoo that i’ve designed, and i love it but my colleague said that there are different places on the human body that you can tattoo which mean different things. I don’t want to get it on me in a place i want only to find out that it means a$s or something. lol. Please help. x

honestly, unless you belong to a gang or something, it doesnt matter where it is.
i have 5 tats in all kinds of places, and i have not had even ONE comment about any one of them.

I think perhaps they’re referring to a lower back tattoo as being known as a ‘tramp stamp’ on women. I am covered in tattoos, lower back is a good spot, I wouldn’t not get a tattoo there because some close minded people who aren’t ‘into’ tattoos call it that. I am older, married and couldn’t care less what people think of where I put my tattoos.

The "tramp stamp" is the only place that people might say things about. Everything else is specific tattoos. A tear drop on the face means you’ve killed someone, a tribal armband or a star on your wrist could mean you are gay. Those are the only ones I know of.
