What are your thoughts on Chinese/Japanese Dragon tattoos?

I’m looking into many different tattoos. I’ve decided on a couple but I’m not sure about a dragon tattoo.

I highly doubt I’ll get one that covers my shoulder or any extensive part of my body.

FYI, I’m not going into Corporate America or anything. I’m going to make a career in the Army… so they won’t effect my career that much.

Thanks

me personally, i think your tattoo should reflect you.

get something that you find interesting.

i think chinese symbols and dragon tattoos are awesome. you can use chinese symbols to describe you. im getting a dragon with some clouds sleeved on my left arm. its gonna be wrapped around my arm. dragons are clean.

but yeah.. you shouldnt need peoples thoughts.. especially people you have never met. like.. fuck what i say.. get what you think is cool!

yeah, dragon tattoos are pretty common, but if that’s what you want then go for it. You can make it more original by tweaking with the design or something though.

Unless you have Chinese/Japanese heritage or lived there for a long time or something. . .I think it’s ridiculous.

My friend has a huge koi fish on his forearm. He’s also Japanese-American, so it makes sense :]

It would be like me (German and French-Canadian) getting a tattoo that has something to do with Russia.

But why are you listening to me, a complete stranger? Ask YOURSELF this question!

Here’s a tip for you, look at a lot of them before you decide. They’ve been popular for a very long time, and there are countless styles and poses to choose from, or have one drawn up custom. Personally, I’ve got a Japanese dragon on my left sleeve and a European dragon on my right. Get what you want, not what you’ll settle for.
