Why people are going for dragon tattoos ?
i have often seen people going for dragon tattoos, i just want to know what does it actually signify?
There is not one, hard and fast answer to this question. As dragons have many, many different meanings.
But mainly, they tend to represent strength, fertility and are seen as a protector of life.
As an interesting factoid, you may also see Koi used in tattoos quite a lot, due to the fact that in ancient eastern culture Koi were seen to be ‘baby’ dragons. And when they swam upstream they then took on the transformation to dragons.
Which is why, mostly, you will see Koi tattoos facing upwards, signifying their journey upstream. And then Dragons facing downwards to show their return trip.

I just got my very first tattoo last night, and it’s a dragon in the form of an Ouroboros (typically seen as a serpent eating it’s own tail). I decided on the dragon ouroboros because, for me, it’s a symbol of strength. I can be a bit of a wimp sometimes, so I wanted something to remind me to be strong.
